New Home Inspectors

THE FOLLOWING ARE THE PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSURE AS A HOME INSPECTOR:
- Have successfully completed high school or its equivalent
- Have successfully completed a home inspector course of study at a school approved by the New Jersey Department of Education
- Have performed at least 40 hours of home inspections, including preparation of home inspection training reports under the direct on-site supervision of a licensed home inspector
- Have passed the National Home Inspection Examination
- Maintain an errors and omissions insurance policy in the minimum amount of $500,000 per occurrence
