IEI was the first privately owned home inspection school licensed by the State of New Jersey Department of Education. We offer the only course taught by the most experienced, fellow home inspection professionals. They bring to your education, the knowledge and wisdom that only comes from years of applying the materials that will be taught in this course. As the theory is being explained, they will give you the practical applications that they have learned from doing home inspections

David Goldstein is the Director of Training for Inspector Education Institute and President of AMBIC Building Inspection Consultants.

David has been training men and women to become professional home inspectors since 1983. He is a second generation home inspector and has been in the home inspection profession since 1974. With almost 50 years of experience, David has performed thousands of inspections on residential, commercial and industrial properties ranging in age from still-under-construction to over 300 hundred years old. He is a licensed home inspector in NJ, DE and NY and licensed in NJ and PA in multiple code enforcement disciplines. David is approved by several states to teach initial and continuing education courses for home inspectors. He is also a NJ Certified Pest Control Applicator and Radon Measurement Technician. He is a court qualified expert in several states regarding construction and home inspection issues and a frequent speaker at educational seminars throughout the country. In addition, David served for over 10 years as a subject matter expert helping write questions for the National Home Inspector Examination (NHIE) and another 7 years on the Board of Directors of the Examination Board of Professional Home Inspectors.

IEI Classroom Instructors:

Diana “Dee” Goldstein, MAS

Dee is the Marketing and Business Director of Inspector Education Institute and President of GEM Marketing.

She has been involved in the home inspection profession for over 40 years. Dee has had the privilege of watching this profession evolve into what it is today. She started her career in the home inspection profession in 1983, creating the marketing program that turned a small family run company into a 12 inspector, million-dollar company. She has taught the marketing and business portion of the course to over 1000 students as well as being a frequent speaker at home inspector continuing education courses throughout the country including Inspection World. She also has been responsible for the business and bookkeeping aspects of running a home inspection business. In 1986, she wrote one of the first home report software programs in the country and computerized the company’s accounting systems. She has experienced this business just about every way you can from within it and the allied professions that support it, so she understands what is needed for a home inspector to become and stay successful. It is her goal to help you get comfortable with your marketing and create a professional image that you will be proud to use to promote your company.

IEI Field-Based Training Instructors:

Our field-based instructors have over 1000 NJ inspection so they can demonstrate the real world inspection process. Your instructors will guide you through the inspection using proper inspection technique and how to interact with your customers. After the inspection you will write your report and submit them to the school. They will be reviewed by an instructor with 40 years of experience. When you attend report writing class, we will discuss your reviewed reports and give you suggestions to protect and make them easy for your customers to understand.
